Information we collect
When you send an enquiry or order through our website, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, business name, type of business and your message. When you become a customer, we also keep the details needed to build your website and bill you.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about your website. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To build and look after your website and take payments. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep business and accounting records. Legal basis: our legal obligations.
- To keep this website secure and free of spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our website.
You don't have to give us your details, but we need a name and a way to contact you to reply to an enquiry.
We don't sell your information, and we don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to.
Who else handles it
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the enquiry form submissions. Like any web host, it keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, for security.
- Akismet (run by Automattic) checks form submissions for spam on Netlify's behalf.
- Google Workspace provides our email.
These providers may store data outside the UK. When they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own website.
How long we keep it
If you make an enquiry and don't become a customer, we delete your details within 12 months. Customer records are kept for 6 years after our agreement ends, because UK accounting rules require it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, ask for a copy in a format you can pass to someone else, or object to how we use it. Email dylan.walsh@autoyours.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
